Marketing opportunities and support

Cape Consumers’ offers the following at no cost to the suppliers/retailers:

  • Announcement of the new supplier in our member newsletter which is distributed every third month.
  • Loading supplier details onto our website at no cost for the first year.
  • Entry and details of supplier into our Suppliers Guide which goes to all our members.
  • Assistance with printing requirements if and when required.

Cape Consumers’ offers the following at a nominal cost to suppliers/retailers:

Inserts

Price: flat rate of R750-00 (excl VAT)

Inserts are sent together with our monthly statements to the entire base of 28,000 members. A5, A4 or DL size pamphlets are placed in the statements and sent to each principle card holder.  On average only 4 inserts from 4 different suppliers can be accommodated each month so booking a space well in advance is essential.  All pamphlet artwork prior to printing must be signed off by Cape Consumers before the insert will receive a final approval.

Bulk SMS’s

Price: 26 cents per SMS (excl VAT)

Marketing SMS’s can be sent to members in a specific area(s) as chosen by the supplier/retailer.

All SMS’s must start with: b-smart and “Supplier Name” followed by the rest of the message. The total number of characters, including spaces, must not exceed 160 characters. This must be e-mailed through to Cape Consumers and must reach us 3 working days prior to the date of the opening special.

Please note:

  • Late arrivals will be carried over to the following day and you may miss your required date.

  • No SMSing is carried out over the weekend.  SMS’s are carried out from a Monday to a Friday.

  • All SMS bookings are carried out on a first come first served basis and no preferential bookings/treatment will be given to any contractor/supplier.

  • Cape Consumers make use of a service provider to bring this marketing opportunity to suppliers and cannot be held liable for any difficulties that may arise as a result of network/platform failure or any other unforeseen circumstance which may occur.
